By John Greenewald, Jr. - NORTHRIDGE (BlackVault) - Today, The Black Vault received an FBI memorandum regarding a terrorist warning back in 1998. It was to the Oklahoma City field office of the FBI created by an FBI pilot.
The pilot warned of "large numbers of Middle Eastern males receiving flight training at Oklahoma airports in recent months." The FBI memo was confirmed today by The Black Vault website, an online news agency and document archive striving to get behind the truth on a vast array of subjects.
Gary Johnson at the Oklahoma field office was the one who gave the statement regarding the memorandum. "That is an actual FBI memo, we released it yesterday." Mr. Johnson goes on to state that his office was requested to search for all documents that could give 'some inkling' as to what happened prior to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Their office was only able to produce a one page memorandum, which The Black Vault now has on display in the archive.
Of course there should not be any finger pointing as of yet. Mr Johnson states, "[It] wasn't a memo we could act further on."
As more shreds of evidence are produced, there may be a bigger picture as to what really happened on September 11th, 2001. Yet until then, documents that are now on display only give a small picture as to what is to be found.
