You've all heard about it - and everyone is doing it! No, it's not that - it is RSS. In short - it is a fast and easy way to keep up to date with The Black Vault headlines and news stories. It's easier than you think.

First and foremost - the easiest way is using the freeware browser Mozilla Firefox. I have been programming The Black Vault for a long time - and honestly, FireFox has surpassed Internet Explorer, Netscape and all other contenders.

So if you do not have it - I recommend you do (I don't get the popups I used to, and it is much faster)

Got it installed? Great! I told you that was easy! Now, second - Firefox makes this as easy as a click of a button. Simply load the main page of The Black Vault (http://www.bvalphaserver.com) and you will find one of two things. First, start at the address bar and look for a small icon that looks like a blue circle ribbon award with a red tail. Yeah, that is how I decided to describe it. ;) Just click on it! That's it! If you don't see that - don't fret - just look at the bottom right corner for an orange box icon with a little design on it. Here is the hard part - yeah... just click on it!

Once you click ok on the dialog box (you can choose the bookmark folder you want it in) it's there all the time. It will automatically update - and you will see all the fresh headlines for the day.

Although that is the preferred method - there are other ways as well. All members of Yahoo and similar companies have a way to add in feeds. This is simple. No matter what you are using, login... then find the news section to add a feed link or feed URL. Copy and paste this line and press ok:

This feed URL works with these types of settings (Yahoo, MSN etc.) or into any newsfeed reader you want to download. Microsoft has put together a recommended list:

Click here for Microsoft's recommended News Reader links

(Yes, before you say anything, I did add the Microsoft link because I trashed their browser above -- sorry, Bill!)

Guess what? It's that easy. All should work fine - and this will make it fun and easy to see the headlines for the day - and keep updated of what is to come!

ENJOY!
