I was struck by the comments about the John Birch Society. Apparantly the author never bothered to spend a few minutes on the JBS webisite looking for some factual basis to criticism them. (I'm a proud member, and find plenty to criticise.) If the author had the integrity to do so. you'd know that the JBS clearly wants a superb military, and clearly recognizes the need for taxation to support (a constitutionally limited) government.
I encourage people to visit JBS.org and also the website of their magazine, TheNewAmerican.com and do some investigating. I had a horrible impression of the JBS until I actually read some of their material and started investigating!
