Welcome to the BV, Majik. Are you a
native alaskan or are you in Point Hope
on a teaching assignment or some
other job? I lived in AK for six years,
but not as far north as you. I was in
SE AK. You are wayyyy up there in the
land of polar bears and snomobiles.
That must be fun. Do you hunt and fish?

I was sent up here in 1982 as an electrican to wire two construction camps. I was ony supposed to be here for just three weeks.. LMAO !!!! yup...

I fell in love with the lifestyle, culture, the people, the Arctic!!

whoa !!! no traffic jams!!! no noise..'heaven on earth" !!!

I quit the company.. I was suupposed to go back to Anchorage.. I was a foreman on a big airport project.. ha ha.. bye bye.. !!

I am originally from Boston !! I.B.E.W. 103 !!

eye retired.. had four native sons.. 1/2 native.. they make ivory stuph !!! We hunt the bowhead whale, fish, caribou, wolves,

I pulled all my four sons out of high school three years ago.

they make more $$ in one month at home making ear-rings, bracelets out of fossilized ivory than my best year ever as an electrican working over time all year.

I just live here.. it is peaceful and quiet. but the hunts are exciting!!! Miles out on the ocean ice.. for two months.

we sleep outside.. no tents.. 40 below.. no one gets cold!!! it is a wonderful time.. huff puff!! cough!!!

Majik ! You are a lucky man to live that lifestyle.
I envy you. There's not a day that goes by that
I don't miss Alaska and it's lifestyle.

By the way... that's a beautiful ivory eagle pipe!

Home sweet home!!! It is currently 50 below zero.. wind at about 40 mph.. house temp.. 84 degrees.. it cost us about 50 bucks to heat our house for a month here in the Arctic..

We custom make em any design..!!!

but FOSSILIZED braceelts ivory is / are more valuable than GOLD.

my sons are considered the best.. in Point Hope, Kotzebue, and we are about to head up to Barrow with 300 braceelts @ 3oo each!

they have already sold over 800 of these..
In less than 2 years!
not bad for high school dropouts !!!!!

Majik, your children are very artistic. I bet they get
their skillz from their mother, huh? Laughing Alaskan
natives are very crafty and artistic. Where I lived in
Alaska, the Tlingits were gifted in carving arts and
the use of seal skin. Speaking of Alaska, I'm
curious what your views are concerning oil exploration
of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge? For or against?

Also.. I'm curious if Point Hope is a "dry" town?

I am now an Arctic farmer!!! growing killer budz in the Arctic!!! Photos coming soon!!! LMAO!! crystal, sticky buds.. whoa!!!

Arctic National Wild Life Refuge??

I am ALL for it!!! Go for it.. It will KNOT HURT NOTHING.. No one lives there.!!! aminals migrate through there.. and we have already proven beyond any shadow of doubt with Prudhoe Bay.. it doesn't hurt the enviorment at all.

But a bunch of people that get to go to super markets are messing up our livelihood and we can't go to supermarkets.!!!

We have been paying over $5.00 bucks a gallon for Gas for years.!!!

It reaches over 2 bucks a gallon and everyone freaks out and starts to bitch.. there is 80% unemployment here in this village!!!

Life is tough.. for some!!! very tough.. well we about to change all of that up here in this village.

There is nothing for the children to do here. very little.

A youth center that just wants the kid's money!! but we are about to build a -=YOUniversity=- and give it to the kids for free.

This is where we live.

The federal government tried to Nuke this place in the 50's without even telling the natives here they were going to expode a nuclear bomb.!!! google (project chariot)

Howard Rock put a stop to the whole thing.. BUT.. the federal government/ military.. BURIED... the nuclear waste right in the middle of their hunting grounds.!!!!! All the elders ( my close friends) are all gone.. died young from cancer.!!!

From the caribou!!!

A phototron? Laughing You're lucky that you even got that
thing delivered at all. The people that were selling the
phototrons only delivered about ¼ of 'em to the buyers.
As for the rest... they took the money and ran, didn't
deliver the rest.

hehe.. but I really don't know much about that kinda stuff. Laughing

ayup... I agree totally. Hey, there are a couple of threads at the BV that
you should participate in. Both threads were started by a BV member
named Revan. He likes to think of himself as a budding preservationist.
He's obviously "city folk" and not quite up to speed on the Alaskan
way of life. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Anyway... as an Alaskan resident,
it would be really cool if you could shed some truth on these threads
from your persepective, the "true Alaskan" perspective.... ya know?

You can find them here:

"AND i MUST SAY i "BLOO" THEM AWAY !!!

I have made two posts on the links you gave me..

I doubt they will post that kinda crap again.

they obviously don't know squat of what they speak about at all.

it is obvious they are quoting some crap news source.

http://majikimaje.com java intense but very very safe!!!
