Here in the great state of Indiana we are currently in the throws of a two week run of unbelievably cool summer weather. Yesterday as well as today are/were just beautiful days with 100% sunshine and zero humidity and a light breeze. Yesterdays high was 80 degrees. Awesome to say the least when it could be 100 degrees with tons of humidity and a heat index of 110.

Where's all this global warming they've been talking bout? June was cooler than normal by a mile and so far July is even cooler yet. I've not run the Trane in two weeks, that's unheard of around these parts in July.

I can remember summers when you'd beg for a 90 degree day instead of 100 especially in July. This is like being in the U.P. or Minnesota or the Dakotas. It's fantastic and I for one hope it holds out for another month and then Summer will be all but over.

At the polar ice caps, where it matters.

Come down here to the middle of Texas if you want freaking hot. Just walking outside is so hot it makes your eye's water. From to 2:00pm to 5:30pm this sun will just roast you into a shrivelled raisin.

i have to agree with handsdew..
something is changing..
and it won't be all that apparent, or rational..
i keep reading reports of the weather around the world..
it's changing everywhere..
some for better, some for worse..

lets all go out and burn something to celebrate!

actually, economics will force our hands before any worries about the globe, or environment..
and even then, we are woefully behind where we should be on technology..
and we are behind on that because of not only education, and the willingness of either the people, or government to take responsibilities,
but some strange retro religion, that wants everything to fit a bible..
or, some think the world will end first..
and i don't mean enviro wackos..
i'm talking about rapture idiots..

HOWEVER, the weather IS nice for a change, here..
not in California..
but hey, i figure it's gods punishment for lifestyles..
must be, what else could it be?

ok, lets light something and pray now..

Changing is the Key word and one I agree with but Global Warming is a farce concocted by people trying to make money off of it any way they can.

That's a dried heat down there in Texas nothing like 100 and humidity around these parts. When it gets like that around here tempers grow short and flare like crazy.

I've been everywhere in this country and the Ohio Valley holds the Summer heat records for deaths related to the heat. It's literal hell on earth when it heats up around here. St Louis comes close in that basin downtown but the burbs are much cooler 10 degrees in most cases, same for Chicago and Memphis. Nashville might be number 2 on my unofficial heat list.

cole, you're right..
here in VA it gets hot..
some 10 or 15 years ago, so hot airplanes sank up to their hubs in the tarmac..

there are times i refuse to go out and work in it here..
BUT, i have been in Ohio when it's hot..
and have NEVER felt anything like it..
i drove to cinci, from PGH, without air conditioning, in heat that was SO beyond normal, there were women driving topless!
so humid wetting down a neckerchef did nothing but add to the heat..
the passenger and i finally stripped down to under wear, and we weren't the only ones..
my next car had air..
never seen anything like it..
close, but ..

Nobody lives in a hotter place than my daughter this time of year until end of September. Indio/ Thermal/Needles will be the hottest temps next to Death Valley for the next few months. Palm Springs/Indio will be a minimum of 115. Last year we unloaded their furnature into the storage shed, and it was 120 degrees. Humidity is very low, but this week has been unusally high, with thunderstorms and flashfloods.

It's all Global Warming these days.

The glaciers that are growing are doing so, WHY?? GLOBAL WARMING???

The glaciers that are melting are doing so, WHY?? GLOBAL WARMING???

It's simple it's all global warming.

What I love is how everyone of the Global Warming missives starts with a bold faced lie and faked or misrepresent photos.

Then by the time the photographer or a real scientist shows the fake, lie, forgery it don't matter the Zealots who worship in the Global Warming Church, are already sold hook and line, and sinker. By this time they are so driven by their zeal they don't care they go and try to prove the original lie is really true??? Facts have no bearing with this crowd.

Yeah it's a load.

The weather has always changed considerably in my life time and from what I've read, the weather will continue changing. If the weather didn't change we'd have a problem. A static weather system would be a catastrophy for living things.

It is disappointing to see the politicians chanting the Human caused global warming mantra. The fact that politicians support the human caused global warming should be proof of it's non-existance!

our polution problems, are NOT BS..
chnging weather?
we can argue, how much our pollution adds to the weather..
well, we'll find out..
the HARD way..

reports of ocean changes and die offd are REAL.
the fact the Gr.Britain is going into crisis over weather, is REAL..

now, gee, i KNOW there are NO governments, or big Buisiness, OR political factions that are going to slant facts and reports and take advantage of the whole mess?
goodness, NO!

why, even the various churchs wouldm't USE this, would they?
so,
just watch the weather..
try on an idividual basis to stay solvent, prepared, and independant..
and make a small footprint or difference..
it's ALL anyone can do.

in 2 or 4 billion more people, we'll ALL find out..
i figure in about 8 or 10 years..
give or take..
then we'll all rapture and who cares?

Ok e of Doom.

The ocean level have been rising for centuries. It's only news to people such as yourself cause your schooling probably sucked.

You have stated the earf mum need fewer people so make up your fricking mind.

CO2 is not a pollutant, and we DEFINITELY have not polluted as much as all the fires in Cali., or the volcanoes????

So, you're losing me there.

I can hardly wait for all the "Global Warming" claims for the fires in Cali. No it never has anything to do with the USA having no forest management policy. Other than the libs present one.

You can't thin those woods man they are like all natural and stuff man. This is like how nature wants it man.

Oh man look at the lightning man, WOW look at the fires. REPUBLICANS SUCK look at what they're doing to the forests.

[added]

Now e if by pollution you mean trash I completely agree. All the plastics that are littering everywhere are ridiculous. The trash flotillas in the Pacific are enormous and need to be disintegrated. But, I'm not paying for it, so.

But CO2 NOPE.

Regardless it's another freakishly beautiful day here. Zero humidity and not a cloud in the sky. Unreal.

Maybe I need to fell a tree and get some firewood ready. Jumped a big buck the other night just starting to grow their racks. Winter will be here soon enough.

Cole, try this site, you should know you can't get informed information from your local observations, except maybe when you put your hands in your pockets and play pocket pool Razz
