Timpanogos--
High on the steep rocky slopes of American Fork Canyon in the shadow of mighty Mt. Timpanogos in Utah's Wasatch Range are three moderate-sized limestone caves: Hansen Cave, Middle Cave, and Timpanogos Cave.
History:
Some of the Earth's most powerful and most delicate forces combined to create the wonders of Hansen, Middle, and Timpanogos caves beginning when the Wasatch Range was building 65 million years ago. Tremendous mountain-building forces slowly uplifted and fractured the sedimentary rock. The caves were dissolved later along fractures now called the Hansen, Middle, and Timpanogos faults in the Desert Limestone. Apparently rising hot water and descending cold water were important factors in the caves origins. Natural, weak carbonic acid dissolved the rock to form the caves, which were created at the level of an ancient water table and later invaded by a stream for a short time. It is likely that rainwater and water from melting snows seeped or flowed underground along two vertical cracks, or faults, dissolved the surrounding layer of Desert Limestone, and hollowed out the subterranean chambers.

Urban/Underground hacking is somewhat of a sub-culture that actually can be quite fun. Of course the majority of things they look into isn't secret tunnels.
Some great old mines around NH and VT. Some oddities for tunnels also.
One place that comes to mind is the Harness House in VT. (It's a B&B now) but there is a secret tunnel from the main house to an observatory.
The tunnel has numerous locked doors in it. One wonders whats behind those.

These are SUSPECTED sites of underground government bases, and in order for something to even be suspected there MUST be evidence to even get to that assertion... Post that. Thanks for your info./comments , sounds like some interesting things are going on over there? I'll be listing some info. on that area. Many old mines, especially ones that are abandoned (it seems) lead into some weird places, or connect to a tunnel complex, etc. Washington and Washington D.C. have some curious and suspicious underground complexes and tunnel systems! Urban/Underground hacking is somewhat of a sub-culture that actually can be quite fun. Of course the majority of things they look into isn't secret tunnels.
Some great old mines around NH and VT. Some oddities for tunnels also.
One place that comes to mind is the Harness House in VT. (It's a B&B now) but there is a secret tunnel from the main house to an observatory.
The tunnel has numerous locked doors in it. One wonders whats behind those.
You are very welcome shadowfx! Yeah, I've read/heard about the "underground hacking sub-culture", sounds like you've had some experience with that? Some of the stories I've heard and read about, coming upon unexpected underground tunnel complexes, facilities, etc. sound pretty frightening . I wonder if the tunnel system at the Hartness House is way more extensive than they're letting us (the public) know about and that's why the doors are locked? I've been in some public underground facilities, which are quite huge and it takes a while to realize you're actually far below underground until you notice that there are no windows anywhere. Those places had several locked doors too, among some other odd things/feelings down in those places/facilities . Take care and Peace......IAM1

That's so good to hear/know that we're all in agreement on this stuff . I think that there are so many mysteries and questions to be explored, investigated, and answered in/about our world. Myths are clues from humanities ancient past that lead us to understanding our present. There are many mythical accounts of underground worlds, civilizations, etc. that can guide us into figuring out most or all of the mysteries. Of course a person's personal experience of stumbling across one of these underground facilities and or tunnels is always valuable . These underground cities, tunnels, etc. exist and I hope more people will become aware of this and what it represents. Your comments/input is appreciated, thanks.
