EVIDENCE that the Loch Ness Monster exists could be produced next week — even if the mysterious creature decides to eat the camera technology which could discover it. Up to 15 shoebox-sized metallic submarines — called “VideoRays” — will enter the loch as part of a “Monster Gathering” arranged by Aberdeen company Buccaneer, which sells the equipment for £3500 to £20,000.

| Nessie is a myth and will always be a myth she doesn't exist. |

There is new footage on Youtube showing the newest loch ness monster. I almost believe it, but we'll have to see if they hoaxed it. There is no telling what kind of animals are living in the deepest oceans lakes. There are new species comeing out everday and sometimes they find thought-to-be extinct species found living in odd places around the world.
It looked like a giant eel or jelly fish and was reported to be about 45 feet long, so it can't be the same monster they have been looking for. Maybe there are two lochness monsters? Maybe they eat each other and that is why there are so few of them.
How big can an anacoda snake get? A snake can grow that large if it's environment allows it and what's stopping a jellyfish or eel from getting 45 long in a 750 foot lake? I don't think they have a monster, they have an overgrown sea animal of some kind. |

| I dunno, they've seen Nessie-like creatures all over. British Columbia, Canada's Lake Okanagan's Ogopogo is one, and no one's been able to disprove it. It's a long way from any ocean. Aren't basking sharks salt water? Also, someone has recently reported one in a deep lake on Vancouver Island, Canada. I only heard about it through friends and haven't seen any footage of that one, but the footage of Ogopogo is pretty good... |

| I believe its possible. Yes Nessie is a myth, but new creatures are found everyday. Just like the large squid that was found. Does it exist? We dont know, but dont count it out. |

They won't find her! We love Nessie in Scotland and whenever someone tries to find her we stick her on the back of a van and hide her in a bathtub in my mate Shaun's house.
Not many people know that elephants often swam in the loch when travelling circuses past through. That is where the myth is thought to have originated from and I think along with people thinking the elephants were Nessie, others made up sightings and created a legend. I do remember once when skin believed to belong to Nessie that she shed was apparently found, but I never heard anything more about it.
Does anyone have the most recent footage of Nessie? |

Hey Slan, have you ever been to Loch Ness. Just curious. If so did you talk to any of the locals around that area about the myth. |

| I haven't, but I would like to head up there sometime. Knowing Scots, I would imagine the locals play up the legend with a bit of good humour to tourists. There are bound to be a few of them with tales to tell of when they encountered good ol'Nessie too. It would be an interesting outing regardless of wether you spotted something or not. |

Yeah you are probably right. Im pretty sure you would get stories from the locals that we havnt even heard yet. The myth has been around for a long time. Im sure there are hundreds if not thousands of stories about Loch Ness.
I dont know if you have heard of the Great Lake monster. Its fairly new to me. Ive heard a few stories about it. This whole lake monster thing would be cool if it was true. Until we get hard evidence that there is a monster living in Loch Ness or the Great Lakes, it will remain a mystery. |

It would be a great discovery. Its going to be a myth until it is found. It would be cool if they found at least some sort of evidence. |

That video is from the movie Incident At Loch Ness which was filmed in a similiar way to The Blair Witch Project. It was written by Werner Herzog who appears in the scene BG posted, you can compare his picture on IMDB to the guy in the video.
