MIB,
I mean this genuinely.
How much was really told about Obama in Belgium, or other countries of Europe? Did you guys learn about his politics, his beliefs, his vision, or was it pretty much that he was "not Bush"
I mean that seriously...

Mostly it was political analysers that came and broke down the two in a general way. I basicly went mostly by feeling and how they presented themselves. I never had a good feeling with McCain, it simply looked like he didn't know what he was doing and I wouldn't trust a 70-year old with a potato gun to be honest.
Barack made a strong impression on me, his presentation but most when he was in Europe meeting with leaders all around. He came across as someone who believed in himself, America and the world. That pulled me over and trust me when I say that America could use a little polishing in Europe, after Bush.
Is my thank you sincere, yes it is. Is it done with the best intentions, yes it is. Could I be wrong, yes I can but the next 4 years will show us. If I'm wrong, then a lot of people here are gonna get a real strok of a sledgehammer in the face. |

All I can say now is that I hope I'm wrong about Obama, really really hope. I stayed up until dawn, I could not sleep last night. I was deeply upset and still am a bit. At least my stomach isn't in knots anymore. I'm a bit more relaxed after having done a good bit of yard work today.
Having said all that, what's done is done. Time to watch and hope now. Regardless of who the President is, pitching in to help your nation, neighbors, state, city, or county is a worthwhile cause. This nation certainly needs the help. I miss the fellowship I witnessed after the 9/11 attacks on this country. |

Nice................this would be a good time for America, and her people to shine. It's a new page yet to be written. |
