This little bit was sent to me by a friend yesterday. She is a long haul truck driver that cris-crosses the country and was telling me about stuff she sees/hears on the road. Anyone know anything about this?????
"oh yeah, and i meant to tell you that the freeway was closed last week in texas and the military was making everyone prove citizenship, not on the news, also saw dozens of loads of explosions heading into our depot in area 51, not on the tv, in real life, saw for the first time the fireing fields being used , the casinos and truck stop filled with military on break, it was one of them who told me painfully who won, radios and phones do not work there because of military interfearance" |

| Are you talking about Texas, or Area 51 in Nevada? Truckloads of anything going into military basis isn;t exactly news. |

Are you on the right thread G2?
Radio-blocking? Demanding people prove their citizenship? Closed roads? |

Blues, you're a killjoy. We could have played on their paranoia, but you went and let the cat out of the bag. |

In the same sentence this is talking about Texas and Nevada like they were the same. Maelstrom these places are a thousand miles apart. |

| Yeah I noticed that too, I figured she must have been referring to two seperate occasions, but I actually am not too sure, it was in the same sentence and everything. |

But what if it isn't?
Are you getting used to being stopped and asked for ID when you are driving? And whilst they are scrutinising your papers some others are going through your car and personal effects?
Dive-bombing fishing boats sounds fun. Are they using live bait? |

Papers Please
Unconstitutional it's that simple. But what the hell when they put a chip in you're ass you won't have to worry about it anymore. Unless they turn you're chip off of course. Then what happens? Can't buy, sell, work, access bank accounts, get medical attention, and you're illegal and undocumented.
Not exactly an ideal situtation in a country that has legalized torture, and is looking for terrorist under every rug.
Obama isn't going to change a damned thing either. Judging by his staff selection, he will be the most powerful pawn Israel has ever had in thier pocket. With over 300 million in campaigne donations thier can't be much of his soul left that he still owns. |

| The interstates were made for military use to begin with. The other part is closing off an area being used for military exercises is routine, especially if live ordinance is being used. Asking for papers of people traverssing in an area being used for exercises is a safety issue, that is if some goes missing or get hurt they know that person needs finding (it also applies to castching spies & saboteurs). There is absolutely nothing sinister about this. Heck I remember when some states did random vehicle condition inspections instead of annual inspections before getting the window inspection stickers. If you were in a hurry you'd have to prepare to be 20 minutes or more late if you didn't have the newest sticker. |

Probable cause to search
When police conduct a search, the amendment requires them to have probable cause to believe that the search will uncover criminal activity or contraband. In other words, they must have legally sufficient reasons to believe a search is necessary. In Carroll v. United States 267 U.S. 132 (1925), the Supreme Court stated that probable cause to search is a flexible, common-sense standard. To that end, the Court ruled in Dumbra v. United States, 268 U.S. 435 (1925), that “the term probable cause...means less than evidence that would justify condemnation[,]” reiterating Carroll's assertion that it merely requires that the facts available to the officer would “warrant a man of reasonable caution in the belief,”[21] that specific items may be contraband or stolen property or useful as evidence of a crime; it does not demand any showing that such a belief be correct or more likely true than false. A "practical, nontechnical" probability that incriminating evidence is involved is all that is required.[22] Under Illinois v. Gates, 462 U.S. 213 (1983), the Supreme Court ruled that the reliability of an informant is to be determined based on the "totality of the circumstances."
Lawyers and Judges have taken a simple standard of freedom as the 4th Amendment. And turned it on it's head with this travesty of an interpetation above.
America is no longer anywhere near the vision of freedom of our folklore. |

| Entering a military exercise area is probable cause though. Especially with the threat of car bombs. |
