Wow, I didn't know that.
So do they consider Jesus a yug over there? Anyone I'd know about over here in the western world?

Somewhere i believe that history definately as is told is twisted some where.
Lot of answers which were not available to historians, those questions itself were deleted.
The first Yug when it was in chaos( reason is another story) it was that time that God in form of light appeared asking a Sage called as Manu to build a giant ship and to make sure he gets specimens of all animals, plants, seeds, birds and 7 wise sages. And once they all boarded it rained for many days.
During this flooding of earth the ship was guided by an Avatar called Matsya, which was actually a giant fish. Once rain was over n all was at peace. World started the way we see it today..
Now does that sound similar.... to Genesis ...

First off, on topic  , my studies tend to support the idea that 2012 is merely the end of a cycle, just as one age moves on into another. Not necessarily the end of the world, just the end of a cycle or 'global paradigm', so to speak.
As for the Jesus/Genesis/Antlantis thing, I personally feel there's far too much anecdotal evidence to consider Atlantis to be merely a myth. We know next to nothing about the pre-Diluvian world ( that's assuming the Flood happened, of course), so for all we know, Atlantis, Lemuria and good God even Mu could simply be city-states destroyed by one hell of a tsunami |

I would suggest you to read about hierogamy...
In short, what does hierogamy means, is that ruler(god) sleeps with women to reestablish this stability after end of the astronomical year or chaos, so the son of the ruler is next living god on earth or - son of god, who will be reincarnated by its fathers (past rulers) soul. It is just a ritual.

Tsunami is possible, after all we have had one of that in recent( i think you know which), it was disasterous. About the flood, actualy there was one particular. In the end of 4th century BC which wiped out every city at that time, the man who discovered this, was Charles Leonard Woolley, he proved that after digging up 2,5m long mud layer, below which was a pottery, houses and that sort of things( and not only in one particular place). Such mud layers could only have been appered after a long period of flooding, which means that these places was below sea water for long time, but the floods wasnt global. Imagine a picture, all near east cultures being under water, crazy. It probably made them migrate to other places. |

Okay, so let's put a few 'facts' together as reported by various scholars around the globe.
Those studying ancient Greece have reported that the 'end of the world' according to the Delphi Oracles will occur somewhere in the general vicinity of 2010 to 2025.
Scholars studying ancient Rome have stated the Sybillic Priestesses claimed it would end about December 2012.
British scholars researching the Celts point out that Myrddin (the 'real' Merlin) proclaimed the end of the world to be December 2012.
An American scholar researching China's I Ching found a numeric correlation with all of history's peaks and falls, with the last one ending exactly on December 21, 2012.
The world's most accurate calendar, the Mayan, ends its last cycle on December 21, 2012. There are no more cycles in their calendar.
Either it's grand coincidence, or the Earth, which is headed for a Galactic Alignment (the first in 25,800 years) will not be a nice place to live. Proposed possibilities include the Earth's magnetic field shifting, causing the entire mantle to rotate as far as 90 degrees, resulting in a change in Earth's rotation, massive earthquakes, huge volcanic eruptions, unimaginably huge tsunamis...
