When you get stuff like this it really shows you just how closed minded the anti-Ufology crowd really is.

These scientists are bashing Stan Friedman, which is just misplaced at best, and they are saying that, first, ufology is a pseudo-science, and, second, that ufology somehow pulls kids away from "real" science. Both are totally ridiculous.
Any normally intelligent person, regardless of their beliefs in UFOs, can distinguish between traditional science and ufology, and they can be faithful to the guiding principles of traditional science in general, even if they believe in UFOs. For example, religious people often make good scientists and are just as critical and analytical as any other scientist.
When it comes to ufology and other fields of scientific study, why do some people act like its a choice of one or the other? |

And one could easily bring up issues with many other fields of scientific study rife with sketchy conclusions, such as:
The human health effects of foods
The human health effects of toxins in the environment
The effectiveness of prescription drugs
Global Warming (which is definitely a pseudo-science)
All are supposed to be "real" science. Maybe Cottle and Boebinger would like to comment on these? Nope, they're hiding. |
