No they didn't snuggle up on a warm winter night, Bill's activity may cost Hillary Secretary of State this time. His comments probably cost her the primaries, and we all know what Monica Lewinski cost her in humiliation alone. All I can say is, Thank God for stupidity again.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and could cause complications if President-elect Barack Obama picks her to be secretary of state.
During her own White House campaign, the New York senator criticized China for its crackdown on protesters in Tibet and urged President George W. Bush to skip the Olympics in Beijing. Hillary Clinton has campaigned as a champion of workers' rights. This year, Brazilian labor inspectors found what they called "degrading" living conditions for sugar cane workers employed by an ethanol company in which Bill Clinton invested. |

Me three! But, one small nit-picking detail, C_G: Please, PLEASE take the Scotch-Irish honorific OUT of Obama's name! If he's Scotch or Irish, I'm the Pope, and I ain't even Catholic. |

You forget he is half white don't you?
And rumor has it that he is distantly related to Cheney. So what nationality is Cheney? |

Well, Richard Cheney is a natural-born US citizen, which makes him American. of course.
His family seems to be English, Welsh and possibly Irish, but the name appears to be Anglo-Saxon, not Irish, and definitely not Scotch, the latter being what helps the man shoot so well.
Rumors, C_G, always rumors! What's up with that, trying to relive the time you played with Fleetwood Mac? I heard Mick enjoyed that...
I'm just teasing, C_G. Don't get upset.
(For those that didn't get it, 'Rumors' was one of the rock band Fleetwood Mac's more popular albums. Those of you who knew this, please ignore this tidbit. ) |

Barack Obama's grandmother Madelyn Dunham dies
Grandmother inspired Obama
By John McCormick | Tribune reporter
4:27 PM CST, November 3, 2008
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The day before the presidential election, Sen. Barack Obama's grandmother, a woman he called "Toot" and someone who helped raised him, has died.
Obama's campaign reported the death of Madelyn Dunham, 86, this afternoon as he and the media traveling with him landed here for the second of two campaign rallies he has scheduled today.
Aides said the Democratic nominee learned of her death about 8 a.m. Eastern time and that she passed at her home in Honolulu between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Eastern time.
Obama's grandmother, who had been gravely ill, was a rock of stability, giving him the American roots that would ground his teenage years as well as his career in politics. |
