Already posted in the Alien Abductions forum, but it belongs here. Check that forum if you want to know why I did it there. Screw the Chapters One, Two and Three I intended, there's newbies that don't want to wait, so here's my whole string of experiences, for better or worse. No animals were harmed during the writing of this post.
All right, first one was an 'official' UFO chase while I was on active duty in New Mexico back around '80-81. Edwards Control picked up a bogey moving fast, headed E at low altitude. Their jets couldn't catch it and they passed the chase to Luke AFB. Their F-15s couldn't catch it but it was on track for NM and TX. We lacked scramble capability but had some birds in the area, some of the USAF's fastest fighters, and we took up the chase. Our birds couldn't catch it; whatever it was passed almost straight over our heads at the EOR shack, about 2300 hrs. Chase was handed off to TX, I never heard the final outcome, I guess a TS clearance wasn't high enough. Status: No actual 'UFO' was seen from my position on the ground, probable wargame, UFO's don't normally display standard aviation running lights .
Second was in Las Vegas, NV just off the Strip, late spring '94. I was sober, riding 'shotgun' in a friend's car, spotted mysterious lights hovering near a hotel under construction, no it wasn't the cranes and there were no blimps in Vegas at that time. Status: No explanation available, no other known witnesses.
Third time: At first I thought it was a busted F-16 flying back into Nellis (this was during a Red Flag exercise), it looked like a landing light and was on the flight path for their main runway. As it got closer to Nellis it seemed to grow dimmer, then split into 3 distinct objects. Rather than sticking to a normal landing pattern, they began to whirl ('pirouette') around each other (horizontally on a common axis), gradually rising as they approached Nellis, then losing altitude and descending almost vertically somewhere near Nellis Tower. Estimated airspeed below 200 kts, estimated altitude starting about 1000', dropping to 500', rising to 1500', then continuously lower until landing. 3/14(?)/2005, approx 1730 hrs., event lasted approx 4 minutes. Thinking there was no way in hell I'd see such a thing again, I left my camera in the house the next evening; I was wrong. What appeared to be the same 3 objects rose from Nellis near the middle of their main runway, began whirling around each other as they did the previous evening, gradually gaining altitude as they appeared to take a course due south, straight for the nearest cloud; the 3 objects entered the cloud and that's the last I saw of them. No vapor trail, no sound, nothing. Poof, all gone.
Status: No other known witnesses at this time, possibly classified USAF project, objects observed were not conventional aircraft. |

I just wish I could find another sighting like it, or see it again WITH MY CAMERA AND WITNESSES. Then, I could die a happy man.
Well, maybe not die, but you get the idea. |

Okay, Saturos. If Sirius (Sirian?) ships look like featureless, faintly glowing brass or gold disks standing on edge, that's what I saw over Nellis in '05.
The best way I can describe these things is 'golden baubles', there was no visible edge shading, making them look 2-dimensional instead of 3, even as they spun about each other. My best size estimate is about 20 to 30 feet diameter, with apparent speed of maybe 120 knots before they slowed and landed. There were no distinct markings of any kind, nothing "sticking out", even as they approached what should have been Transient Alert and descended below my line of sight, east of the hangars and control tower.
Maybe the military has some sort of laser they can hit people with, like what was proposed with the Mothman sightings years ago. The only other thing I can add is that it would be typical for a transient aircraft to 'hang out' for a day before leaving again, which would support the idea of using some sort of holographic projection for camouflage. My best guess is either it was a YF-35 in drag, or E.T. came for dinner and a show in Vegas.
With no other explanation, I'll vote for E.T. catching the late show at the Golden Nugget or Tropicana, or tying one on at Glitter Gulch (ick!).

COOL DRIFT! i believe you with no reservations whatsoever. capturing a sighting is elusive at best...unless you have camera in hand 24-7. please let us all know of future information. with your military background and intellect, you know "whats up." |
