I didnt know if this would go into gov conspiricies or cryptozoology, but anyways I heard that the gov made killer bees by mating american honey bees and african honey bees. Thier purpose was to create a bee that produced large amounts of honey. Reason is unknown and my source worked for the gov but i dont know how reliable he is. What do you guys think.

It actually is true, though it isn't a conspiracy. They are "manmade" in the sense that they are a cross or two breeds of bee. I think it was at a laboratory in Brazil, or maybe another South american country.

Irish...... The killer bees are a hybrid that were created when a researcher/geneticist in Brazil mated European bees - the traditional honey bees found in North America - with bees from southern Africa, hoping to produce a hybrid that was more tolerant of the tropics and one that would produce more honey. The resulting queens were more aggressive and 26 of them were released in 1957. They bred with European bees, producing the aggressive hybrid known as killer bees which spread northward and arrived in Texas in 1990.
