Paul M. Brown, Ph.D., recently died at the untimely age of 47. Dr. Brown had been involved with alternate energy since 1978, when he was still a college student. In 1989, he patented an improved version of the resonant nuclear battery.

Around 1991 he formed a company, Nuclear Solutions (NSOL), which utilizes a process he created, called photoremediation, to deactivate radioactive waste. The process uses low-level x-rays to convert nuclear waste products into inert substances within days, instead of thousands of years, and generates electricity in the process. (See Spirit of Ma\'at\'s Feb 2002 article, Nuclear Waste May Become a Safe Energy Source, for more information.)

Nuclear Solutions, www.nuclearsolutions.com, has confirmed it will continue with its peaceful intention of eliminating nuclear waste and carrying on Dr. Brown\'s lifetime of service and discovery.
