MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Archeologists have discovered the ruins of an 800-year-old Aztec pyramid in the heart of the Mexican capital that could show the ancient city is at least a century older than previously thought.

Mexican archeologists found the ruins, which are about 36 feet high, in the central Tlatelolco area, once a major religious and political centre for the Aztec elite.

Awesome find Carrie. As you and I have discussed in the past ad naseum, science will continue to discover things that continually require conventional wisdom to update their thinking about our past.
I haven't been reading much on any of this in the past few months, just been too busy. So, thank you for posting this. |

Cool information.
Very true about our knowledge of the world.
There's a team who is using infrared satellite photos to locate lost structured in the jungles all across South America. They are awesome finds. I'll look for a link. |
