Hello everyone,
Well, it seems like the time has come where I am starting to outgrow my server capacity, again.
Due to the overwhelming response to Black Vault Radio (I know I am not getting new shows online as often as I want) the bandwidth on the server is overwhelming, and is reaching its capacity. If I hit my desired two shows a week, I would be slaughtered with extra charges.
To alleviate the load, I am purchasing a cheap, but unlimited disk space and bandwidth plan that I could store not only the radio shows, but the entire Black Vault Encyclopedia Project as well to see if I can lighten the load.
I am looking to raise the money, to pre-pay for a year, which would be roughly $200 for all the features I need.
I appreciate any help you might be able to spare. The new server would also open the door for a few more expansions of the site, so hope I can raise the money.

John, I don;t know that much about bandwidth but how much does it hurt the site when excessive copy and pasting, excessive quotes, or extremely long things are posted in the message board.
Would it help if a quote was limited to a few lines, as opposed to copying entire texts? Some quotes or copy and pastes are extremly long, so wouldn;t posting only the link be better to save bandwidth?
It seems like 80% of our message board is copying something to reply to, over and over, which is repeated page after page, and takes most of the space. |

No, those text type messages take nearly no bandwidth at all in the grand scale of the server.

I'll see what I can do John, you know I'm always there to help out when I can. I'm between "assignments" right now, so money's a little tight, plus I spend all my money on getting my bike ready/prepped for racing in the Summer. As soon as Fall get's here and I get "reassigned" I'll hook you up with a few $$.   |
