| Ok here's what I saw at about 4ish this morning on our way through Wyoming to Nebraska, I'm the passenger so I'm looking out the window frequently just looking for anything in the night sky and as I was looking forward at one point in the corner of my eye(2 o'clock) I saw flash in the sky and when I looked over I saw a streak in the sky that was about an inch and a half from our view and it was about 4-5 different colors. It was amazing, but have no clue what it was. It disappeared within a few seconds and the driver never saw the flash.. Meteor maybe coming through our atmosphere?? |

| yup, sounds like a meteor, happens all the time. We just never really hear about it 'cos as these things go, pretty colors aren't as newsworthy, as, oh say, Rosie coming outta some landed meteor...explains a lot, though... |

Yes most likely it was a meteor. Or something else burning up entering our atmosphere.
I saw one before, like one of note anyway, I've seen lots of little ones. I saw one that was quite, quite large compared, both in width and in burn-time. It was a bright blue from where I was standing, relatively slow moving and went from the top of the sky all the way too the horizon. It was a meteor some Russian astronomer figured was going too hit the planet. Turned out it didn't. |
