wow, what a race!
what a fight! and what a year!
well, everyone talked about wanting change, now we got it..
and ya know, i'm going to bed..knowing that i HAVE to go to work tomorrow, and am still able. ( i may not have a home to come back to, but hey...)and as i sleep, there are no gun shots, no cannons booming, no bombs going off. no jets overhead..
we are in the middle of a BIG CHANGE, and it's a day, night, week as usual.
and i don't have to worry about my neighbors, ( except for the usual idiots..) and i know the stores will have food..
and i don't have to leave in the middle of the night, and hide anywhere..
and what's nice, is i can STILL complain, and argue, and disagree, and not worry about knocks on my door..
and so, i'm going to bed, in a great country..
very happy, that i may not have voted for this guy..
i may even dislike him..but, i still live in a great country.
this is great.
what a feeling.
i think election night is the most important 'holiday" this country celebrates. |
